Buttering A Fresh Roll
The Blacksmith relishes discussion but eschews argument. Our anvil is, however, readily employed for hammering conclusions into shape. A few strikes are useful to state at the barn door: argument by stipulation sharpens no blade. Ad-hominem attacks are a confession of weakness and an unscrupulous attempt at intimidation. They will fail. Finally, appeals to authority or custom over reason are disingenuous ploys demonstrating ignorance, incapacity, or, unfortunately, dishonesty. "Political correctness" receives no hearing here. Our doors open to the clear air of the village green, and we let the sparks of truth fall where they may.
